Box Office / Ticket Sales Manager
The ticket sale manager accounts for ticket sales, ordering tickets, and managing box office workers.
The Box Office/Ticket Sales Manager is responsible for managing the operations that go into running the ticket office. This includes accounting for the tickets, ticket sales, promotional sales, and donations, ordering tickets and other supplies, managing a team of ticket sale workers, creating the schedule for ticket sale workers, and supervising the front of house within a venue.
A Box Office/Ticket Sales Manager does not need to have a degree but does need some experience in retail before becoming a manager. Oftentimes, the manager is someone who previously worked in ticket sales and understands the operations of that particular venue. The manager will work both in an office setting and in the venue itself. (See also: Operations Manager)
